payment • process • completed work • design policies

★ payment ★

general payment
all payments under $150 must be payed in full before I start your commission.
I use paypal invoices for all commission payments. *paypal invoice payment methods include paypal (regular, credit, and pay later), venmo, debit card, and credit card. for adobtables I may use my buisness paypal.me link instead.
for commercial use payment price and method may change.
 
partial payment
only for payments of $150 or more
50% payment is required before I start, after I make the sketch and it's approved, the rest of the payment must be sent before I work on the rest.
*partial payment is not a requirement for payments over $150, it's just an option. you can still pay in full upfront for large payments if you prefer.
 
refund policy
refunds are available only before the sketch is finished and approved.
please let me know if you'd like a refund before I send you the sketch, if possible.
I will not refund any payments after the sketch has been approved. if you are unhappy with the sketch afterwards I can change it. please refer to the 'process' section of the t.o.s for more information on changing the piece!
 
tipping
i will always add the option to tip on my paypal invoices. tipping is never required but it is very appreciated!

★ process ★

after payment
after you make your required payment I'll add you to my queue, I use this to keep track of all my commissions that have to be done and what order to do them in. I put them in order of whoever payed first. the first 3-5 commissions at the top of 'not started yet' will be the next batch of commissions I start on. if you order multiple pieces they will be put on the queue as separate commissions.
 
turnaround
turnaround is typically a few days to a few weeks after I start. you can see when I start on your commission and other commissions I'm working on using my public progress list/queue!
 
w.i.p's & changes
for every stage of the piece (sketch, line art, color) I'll send you a work in progress screenshot for you to approve.
if I made any mistakes on your character or you'd like any changes let me know. I can make up to 3 changes per stage, any extra changes may cost more. (character or original request related mistakes on my part do not count for the change limit.)
 
quality
the quality and style may vary with each piece I make. I like to make experimental pieces and I'm not very consistent when it comes to a certain style. If you would like a specific stylistic choice (from one of my previous pieces) let me know! If you aren't a fan of sketchy styles it might not be the best choice to get a commission from me.

★ completed work ★

(re)uploading & credit
I have the right to upload all of my finished commissions to my social media platforms or use them as examples of my commission options. (commissions that I upload to my social media will always be watermarked.)
you can reupload any of my work that belongs to you on social media (this includes setting it as your icon, avatar, or banner), do not claim that you made the artwork. credit is not required* but it is appreciated.
*credit is always required on toyhou.se or any other character storage platform similar to toyhou.se that requires credit for character images. my toyhou.se username is Iillie for credit.
 
edits
I allow most kinds of edits to the artwork. This includes changing colors, using filters, adding or changing things, drawing over things, cropping, adding text, etc.
you can ask if you're unsure! 
personal use
feel free to upload to social media (refer to "(re)uploading & credit" for more details.), use as icons, thumbnails, or banners; use in videos, print out the artwork, or use for anything that fits into the general definition of personal use. 
commercial use
I currently do not have set terms for commercial use artwork.
if you're interested in purchasing artwork for commercial use contact me and we can discuss agreements.

★ design policies ★

i will/won't
i will... design humans/humanoids, anthro/feral furries, pokémon/pokésonas, myo's of open, semi-open, and closed species* (custom myo's must be allowed from the species), accessories, outfits, customs inspired off characters (only characters from popular anime, tv shows, games, etc.), specific design ideas, designs based on mood boards or aesthetic images, clothes, etc; light gore, and candy gore.i won't... design characters based off other people's oc's, heavy mech, heavy gore, sexual intent, nudity, nsfw.you can always ask if you're unsure. 
payment
general payment terms are the same as normal commission payment terms. I usually do not offer partial payment for custom designs or adoptables. 
process
process is generally the same as my normal commission process and follows the same terms.
I will send you work in progress screenshots of each stage (sketch, line art, color) for you to approve. typically the sketch or line art stage will include concept colors for you to approve as well. concept colors may change slightly into the color stage for the whole design to fit well together.
I can make up to 3 major changes per stage (major changes count as redrawing a part of the design, adding something new like an accessory, completely changing a pattern, etc.) any more major changes may cost more. small changes (such as slightly changing a color or changing the concept color palette) do not count. 
usage
check the completed work part of the terms of service for more information on how I allow usage of finished commissionsI allow... selling*, trading, giving away, using as gifts, using for swaps, and editing or changing the design.*when selling do not sell for more than what you bought it for unless you have added to the value of the character (by adding artwork, changing the design, etc.)when uploading to toyhou.se you must credit my toyhou.se account.terms may change for commercial usage.
